OK ok ok. I get it. I'll update already!

We have had a VERY busy month. School's been crazy, Tim's job has been crazy, and we've been doing a ton of stuff on the side too, as if we weren't busy enough.

One problem with a recreation major is we have TONS of projects and papers. Granted, we don't have so many tests (in most classes) but it makes up for it with how much research and group meetings I have to juggle. It's getting pretty overwhelming trying to figure out what assignment to work on when. I have some big project due everyday right now, at least one big project. Not to mention the volunteering I do at least twice a week. But I do really like my classes. I'm learning a lot and they are (for the most part) very interesting and fun.

Tims work has been pretty busy. They have him doing a lot most days. And traffic is horrible. Once school started, Tim had to start leaving around 15 to 20 minutes earlier than he used to. And even then he is late sometimes. An hour and ten minute drive in the morning. So much fun. Getting home is a little better at least.

At the beginning of October we had our friends Billy and Ally (who live in Santa Barbara and are going to UCSB) and Tim and Charlotte (who live in San Diego and go to SDSU) up for the weekend. It was conference weekend. AND the last weekend of Oktoberfest! We had a fun filled sausagefest weekend. German pancakes (that still didn't rise) with really yummy fruit on top for breakfast, keilbasa, bratwurst, pineapple and apple sausages with several types of toppings and speatzel. Mmm...Soo good. Then for a late dinner we had some really yummy pretzels. And next morning, we had cinnamen rolls with orange frosting. The weekend was intermmingled with conference, food, sausage jokes, great movies, and tons of fun. Oh. And LOTS and LOTS of root beer. I think this is something that we may decide to do more often (you know, like annually..)

Tim came down two weekends ago and we had a lot of fun. We explored various parts of the San Fernando Valley. We found a really really cool park that I hope we get to spend more time at. We also went to were some of the recent fire had taken place and took some pictures. It was a homeowkr assignment for me to learn how to do something new in the outdoors, so we chose learn to take pictures and go on "nature walks" I had so much fun doing it. It was really one of the highlights of the year for me. Unfortunately Costco overexposed the pictures we took so they don't look that great. So annoying!

This past weekend we went up to San Jose to go to the pumpkin patch with Jody and Eriks family. We got up there late Friday night with fresh hot cookies waiting for us. Tim woke up on Saturday morning with Sophie getting out of bed (we slept on the bottom bunk and she was on the top bunk.) So they snuggled for a while. We made it up to the pumpkin patch in the mid morning (with Tim driving the convertable, which he LOVES). We had a really good time wondering around looking for a good photo spot for the family annual pics and looking for the perfect pumkins. We also bought some really cheap and tasty artichokes. At the next punkin patch we watched a broadsword fight with about 6 fighters. Totally lame. The ring was so small that the people went down really fast. We were able to visit with Gabi and Sarah B and Kyle for a while which was really fun. Then we went to the kids Wu Shu monster house. The four older kids went through and had a lot of fun. We were able to go through with them and watch them attack. That night we were supposed to go spend the night at Thom and Sarahs but Thom was called into work really early that morning and was exhausted. The next morning we helped rush all the kids to get ready for church. We actually had a lot of fun helping them get dressed and doing their hair. We had a casual afternoon and drove back. It was a great, but too short weekend.

There. Now I have to get ready for school!

LOL...too awesome Allie! Thanks for the much needed update! Sounds like you guys have been having a pretty busy month. It's too bad we can't help you continue the craziness with us coming up (like we had hoped) next week but it looks like we wont be coming up for awhile (which bites). Hopefully we can see you guys soon!
